Not really. There are plenty of old PCs in use around the world. And the only way to download large files & movies: use new external USB or networked hard drives, usually NTFS formatted. You probably right about Paragon's driver. I'll try Winternal's (Mark Russinovich's) NTFS for Win98 driver to see the difference. Its just a add-on to Windows native NTFS driver.
Microsoft just released very fast and advanced RichCopy Application (hXXp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2009.04.utilityspotlight.aspx), previously used internally. Unfortunately, it doesn't support Win98. So, FastCopy may look like a good alternative compared to other available choices.
